About us

Canterbury Operatic Society has been performing shows and concerts in the Canterbury area for over 100 years.

Our last three productions - The Pirates of Penzance, The Pajama Game and Into the Woods (all at the Gulbenkian Theatre) were awarded Accolades of Excellence by NODA South East and we aim to build on this standard with each performance.

Whether you like performing or prefer to be out of the limelight doing vital work backstage or front of house, we welcome new members warmly. Please get in contact!

We are delighted to be presenting the classic musical Guys and Dolls at the Marlowe Theatre. This show has a deservedly high reputation, and promises to be an absolute treat for our audiences, featuring well-loved songs like 'Luck Be a Lady' and 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat'.

Performances run from Tuesday 1st May to Saturday 5th May 2012, with a matinee performance at 2.30pm on the Saturday in addition to the evening performances at 7.30pm each night. Tickets cost from £10 and can be booked online or through telephone number 01227 787787.
