CANTERBURY OPERATIC SOCIETY
The Pirates of Penzance - 26th-30th May 2015
In 2015, Canterbury Operatic Society became the first group to perform one of Gilbert and Sullivan's timeless operas at the rebuilt Marlowe Theatre. For this, we returned to our favourite of these, The Pirates of Penzance.
With direction by John McCrae, musical direction by Diana Whybrow and choreography by Andy Granville, this proved to be a production which delighted audiences, taking a traditional, yet highly witty, take on this classic.

The entire show was a privilege to see and hear. It would be unfair to pick any individual from the cast as all of you were exemplary and the production values far higher than I had any right to expect given the price of the tickets!
